A Viking Ring is a Norse sign of protection and a symbol of power. It is often given to someone who has recently been promoted into a higher rank or as a wedding gift. Historically, the ring was worn on the left hand with the point of it pointing outwards to warn those who might want to do you harm. The Vegvisir (or Viking Compass) was used by Vikings to find their way during long journeys over land and sea. It features eight symbols that represent the cardinal directions on a compass as well as four additional symbols, each one representing something different: man, woman, sun and moon.

The ring is supposed to be made of sterling silver 925 and yet I wear it and my finger turns green. That's not supposed to happen with sterling silver 925, I have other actual sterling silver 925 rings and that has never happened. Means the quality of the ring is not as advertised, definetly not sterling silver 925. I regret wasting money on this only to be made a fool of.
